Good News/Not as Good News

Tony Larocca

We are SO happy for Tony Larocca! Tony has been offered and has accepted a new position as the Tournament/Events Director for our friends Club Fusion in Marengo, IL. This new position allows him to move back to Bears country close to his parents, brothers and most importantly his niece and nephew as well as coaching and working with the sport he loves! We all know how great Tony is with kids, how fun it will be for him to be Uncle Tony in person more often! Tony has and always will be a member of the Wisconsin PoWer family! We will miss him, but are so excited for his new adventure.

We will have a going away reception for him on Friday, November 28th at 7:00-8:00 PM at the Sports Advantage Center. We invite everyone who would like to wish him well in his new adventure to join us.

That was the "Not as Good News".

Our good news is we have hired Tessa McGill as our new Administrative Assistant/Facility Manager. We are very excited to welcome Tessa to the Wisconsin PoWer family! Tessa recently completed her Masters Degree in Sports Administration and is presently the 2nd Assistant for the UW-Green Bay Volleyball Team.

Prior to coming to UW-Green Bay, Tessa was the volleyball Graduate Assistant at Arkansas State University. McGill is a graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) where she earned a bachelor's degree in business management. While at IPFW she was a 4 time letterwinner on the Mastadon volleyball team.

McGill was a member of 2 NCAA tournament qualifying teams at IPFW. She is well decorated, earning IPFW Senior Female Athlete of the Year, Summit League Defensive Player of the Year, All-Summit League honors, Summit League All-Tournament Team, AVCA D1 Honorable Mention and three Summit League Defensive player of the week honors.

McGill will be a fine leader for our fabulous staff and athletes at Wisconsin PoWer Green Bay!

2014 Commitments

Congratulations to Wisconsin PoWer's Valerie Every (Bay Port High School) who has committed to playing at Final Four qualifier UW-Stevens Point in 2015. Go Pointers!

Welcome to PoWer Green Bay

Wisconsin PoWer Green Bay will begin its eighth season in Green Bay. Our goal in this club has been and continues to be to raise the level of volleyball in the Green Bay area to a point it has never been before. The recent success of local high school teams is evidence that we are making a difference. Our top teams will compete against some of the elite club programs in the country, and that will help our players continue to get better and better. All our teams practice and train together allowing us to take full advantage of the competitive edge learned in those situations. Training includes team practices, specialty sessions and full club practices.

We want the best athletes in and around Green Bay to come and be part of something exciting. Wisconsin Power works directly with each athlete to determine their personal goals and appropriate level of future play. The staff at Wisconsin Power will always emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, leadership and personal integrity while nurturing the desire to compete. The name "Wisconsin PoWer" has gained the respect of clubs and coaches across the country. If you know that commitment to a great club can bring high dividends in the future, then Wisconsin PoWer is for you. Don't compare clubs by cost, make your decision based on which club will make you the best player you can be.

PoWer Green Bay is very pleased to start our third season in our home the Sports Advantage Center, 807 Parkview Rd. Ashwaubenon, WI 54304. Last year we had over 200 athletes training in our club program, Taste of PoWer and Look What I Learned. It is our goal to continue to promote volleyball in the area and offer continual programs to aid athletes in improving for whatever their personal goal may be.
