History

In the fall of 1999 Wisconsin PoWer was born in Madison WI. The brainchild of Wayne King and Pete Waite, the idea was to bring to Madison a new level of club volleyball, a level of competition that would strive to qualify for USAV National Championships and to help prepare athletes for the highest level of play they could attain. Wisconsin PoWer has, and is, bringing that idea to fruition!

The first few years were a struggle, but were survived with the support of their sister club, Club Fusion of the Great Lakes Region. With their support and the help of other ally clubs, WI PoWer was welcomed into the world of elite clubs and began it's climb to success.

In 2002 the first teams from WI PoWer qualified for the USAV National Championships. In 2003 the number of PoWer teams to qualify grew to three.

In 2004, along with qualifying 4 teams, WI PoWer's 16 Red team WON the American Division National Championship. No other club in the Madison area has achieved that milestone. And no other club in the Badger Region has reached that goal as quickly after its inception.

In 2005 not only did WI PoWer Qualify teams for Nationals, but the 17 Red team qualified in the highest division in USA Volleyball, the Open Division, becoming the first and ONLY team in the Madison area to accomplish that feat. 2005 also brought the expansion of WI PoWer with the development of 5 Sattelite clubs where we share our determination to train kids in the fundamentals and the game we all love.

In total, WI PoWer has qualified 18 teams for Nationals in its nine year history and because of its team success WI PoWer has had 5 players honored by being named to the USAV All – American teams.

This year, come along and make some WI PoWer history.
