PoWer Madison is fired up and ready to go! In the off season we have made some changes and additions that we are excited about and know you will be too.
Ruth Leitzke, who's hard work, dedication and commitment to developing volleyball in Wisconsin was instrumental in PoWer Madison's growth and national attention, will be overseeing all aspects of the club. She has hired a staff to assist her in her vision of an "All Wisconsin" program.
With Ruth's return to Madison will come her tireless efforts to assist any athlete who aspires to play beyond high school while finding an appropriate fit for the athlete.
Welcome Morgan Shields
Morgan Shields has been hired to assist Ruth Leitzke in the development of our athletes' training program. Shields Graduated from UW-Madison in 2004 after a stellar career setting for the Badger's. She was a two-time All-Big Ten selection as well as an AVCA All-American. Morgan is presently serving as the assistant coach at Cardinal Stritch College while she completes her Masters Degree. Together Ruth, Morgan and the staff will bring to Wisconsin PoWer the focus of training athletes in the fundamental skills of volleyball and the tools to compete at levels appropriate to their ability,aspirations and goals in a family and multi-sport athlete friendly atmosphere .
